FAQ #20
- I took my bike for a ride after a non use period. I noticed that the pads remain on the rotor, touching it without applying on the lever. What can I do?
It seems that there is too much oil in the braking system, so this is how you can proceed:
- Take the pads off
- Open the bleeding screw and insert one syringe inside the hole
- The syringe will absorb the excessive oil, otherwise you can also use a rag for this purpose, just taking care that oil won’t get the brakes dirty
- Push the pistons back, being sure they arrive until their complete end
- Place again the OLD pads (no need to substitute them)
- Take off the syringe from the hole. The remaining oil should be at the same level of the hole and to be sure of this, please note that when you will screw in the bleeding screw, a little bit of oil (but really a few) should be discharged.
After this operation the problem should be solved. Otherwise please contact us again.
